An Indian dagger with figural hilt Goa, 18th century. Straight 7 inch double edged blade molded with two deep fullers separated in the lower half by a third fuller. Steel bolster block with small scrolled quillons. Walrus ivory grip carved as a standing female figure of Goa with plaited coif and wearing only a pleated kirtle and arm and ankle bracelets. Leather scabbard with steel throat and chapeu. Very good condition. The dagger is illustrated on page 56 of Arms of the Paladins, The Richard R. Wagner Collection of Fine Eastern Weapons by Oliver S.
